St. Paul Art Crawl’s Live Music and Dance Schedule
9:30 am Tommy and Mark (guitar duo)
10:45 am Danger Club is a four-piece Pop, Funk, R&B band who measure 23′ 5″ (stacked) and whose special powers include catchy hooks and nice drums.
11:15 am Carrie Finnigan, one of the artists behind the iconic CJAC mural behind the stage, discusses her work and process.
11:30 am Dale Alexander Jazz Trio. Music director and songwriter, Dale has appeared with virtually every well-known jazz artist in the States. Growing up in Minneapolis, Dale’s first band was a trio with Prince and Andre Cymone. He recorded with Prince on the 94 East Street CD project right before Prince signed his solo contract. Subsequently, Dale was touring with Prince on the Sign ‘O the Times World tour as the drummer for Madhouse. Since then he’s had a storied career including a Grammy nomination and serving as music director of American Idol on Tour.
12:30 am CAAM Chinese Dance Theater was created to introduce Minnesota audiences to the joys and spectacle of Chinese dance, to build bridges across communities, and to nurture the growth of this art form outside of China through its teaching mission to new generations of American students.
12:45 pm Beau Baker Band Beau Baker crafts his rhythmically inspired songwriting style with strong vocals to create lush neoclassic rock ‘n‘ roll.
1:45 pm O’Shea Irish Dance showcases athleticism and artistry. Your source for world-class Irish dance classes, solo and team competition, and professional Irish dance and music shows in Saint Paul.
2:00 pm Michael Monroe‘s unique creation of music leaves his audiences mesmerized as he blends his rich vocals, guitar, bamboo and glass flutes, combining musical styles of acoustic folk and jazzy reggae.
3:00 pm Center for Hmong Arts and Talent (CHAT) CHAT envisions a vibrant community where Hmong American artists are inspired to share their perspectives, valued for their creative contributions, and empowered to challenge life’s boundaries.
3:15 pm Jeff Dayton was bandleader and guitarist with Hall of Fame legend Glen Campbell, has toured with Lee Greenwood, megastar Kenny Chesney, and played shows on guitar with Willie Nelson, Vince Gill, Tanya Tucker, Toby Keith, Buck Owens, and Bo Diddley.
4:15 pm Center for Hmong Arts and Talent (CHAT) CHAT envisions a vibrant community where Hmong American artists are inspired to share their perspectives, valued for their creative contributions, and empowered to challenge life’s boundaries.
4:30 pm Wailing Loons are driven to fuel social change through independent music.
