Celebrating 15 Years of Culture, Community, and Connection at Celtic Junction: In the heart of St. Paul, a beacon of cultural heritage and artistic expression has been shining for 15 years. The Celtic Junction, founded in 2009 by Cormac O’Sé and Natalie O’Shea, has grown from a shared dream into a thriving cultural hub, dedicated to celebrating, promoting, and preserving Celtic arts and community.

Our Journey Begins (2009-2014): From its inception, the Celtic Junction Arts Center (CJAC) has been a vibrant place where the rhythms of music and dance have flourished under one roof. O’Shea Irish Dance and the Center for Irish Music established themselves as our initial resident partners, enriching the CJAC community with their talent and dedication to Irish arts. Irish Fair of Minnesota soon joined us, and these three foundational partnerships paved the way for a blossoming of cultural outreach initiatives.

Enrichment and Recognition (2015-2019): With the foundations firmly in place, CJAC embarked on a period of significant growth and enrichment. 2016 marked a pivotal year with the establishment of the CJAC nonprofit and the opening of the Eoin McKiernan Library. In 2017, we launched CJAC’s Education program, broadening the scope of CJAC’s mission to educate, preserve, and share. We began publishing the Celtic Junction Arts Review as a means of recording our community’s growth and development. Our dedication to fostering a love for Celtic arts was recognized on a global scale when, in 2018, IrishCentral named CJAC “Best Irish Arts Center in North America”.

Innovation and Adaptation (2020-2024): The challenges of recent years fueled our creativity and resilience. CJAC pioneered hybrid cultural experiences, blending in-person and digital events to keep our community connected during a global pandemic. We introduced social justice seminars, amplifying marginalized voices and weaving together the diverse strands of our cultural fabric. Our space underwent significant improvements, including a new classroom, outdoor stage, and a major renovation by resident partner Center for Irish Music ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all who walk through our doors.

Looking to the Horizon: As we celebrate 15 years of memories, achievements, and friendships, we also look forward with anticipation to the exciting developments we will share in the future. The evening of April 27th promises not only a reflection on our vibrant past but also a teaser into the transformative plans that lie ahead for the Celtic Junction Arts Center. Our vision for the future is bold, and with the continued support of our donors and community, we are poised to embark on a journey that will further cement our legacy as a center of Celtic culture.

Join Us in Making History: On April 27th, we extend an invitation for you to join us in celebration and camaraderie. From the welcoming reception with appetizers and cocktails to an evening filled with fun entertainment, every moment is a tribute to the spirit and legacy of all who make up CJAC. This special night is not just about honoring what we’ve built together over the last 15 years; it’s also about sharing a glimpse into the exciting possibilities that await us. Let’s raise a glass to the past, revel in the joy of today, and look forward to a future bright with promise.
