Join us for a gorgeous evening of traditional Irish music as Adrienne O’Shea celebrates the launch of her debut CD, “Threads of Gold.” Adrienne’s soulful voice and mastery of the Irish flute will immerse you in a thriving musical tradition that is safe in Adrienne’s exceptionally good hands. Accompanied by the remarkable talents of Brian Miller, Norah Rendell, Danny Diamond, Dáithí Sproule, and Cormac O Sé, this concert promises to be a feast for the senses. Whether we gather on CJAC’s outdoor stage (weather permitting) or in the main performance space, you’ll be captivated by the beauty of these timeless songs in both Irish and English. CDs will be available for purchase, so you can take home a piece of this memorable occasion. The concert will be INDOORS due to the chance of rain.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Youth 18 years and younger receive free admission. Online ticket sales end at 5 pm on the day of the show. After that, you can purchase admission at the door.

Adrienne’s musicality reveals a transcontinental experience, seeped in old-world style but infused with a young, modern energy. Born in Dublin to a family steeped in Irish culture, and immigrating young to a unique Irish pocket in St. Paul, MN, Adrienne has feverishly sought and soaked up her traditional roots.

Infused with Irish music and dance from the age of 4, she studied under the tutelage of Norah Rendell, Cory Froelich, Seán Gavin, Brian Miller, and Dáithí Sproule. She debuted in 2011 as Brigid in Stepping Stone’s Get Up Your Irish and has been a leading band member of Kickin’ It Irish and the Celtic Holiday Hooley. Adrienne has performed at Chanhassen Dinner Theaters, Stepping Stone Theater, the Ordway, the O’Shaughnessy and at Orchestra Hall.  She holds multiple titles in flute, whistle, piano, and song from the Midwest Fleadh Cheoil, qualifying in nearly every event for the All Ireland Music Championships eight years running.

She has recently studied with the likes of Karan Casey, Niamh Parsons, and Nell Ni Cronin. Adrienne graduated magna cum laude from the U of MN’s music program and has just completed her Masters degree in Traditional Music Performance at Ireland’s University of Limerick, World Academy where she teaches song.
