Rónán Ó Dochartaigh is Language Director at Oideas Gael, in Co. Donegal. Last year, over 1,600 people attended courses at Oideas Gael where they learned to speak Irish language or enjoyed a cultural activity holiday involving Irish arts, music, or the natural environment. In addition to this, Oideas Gael offers online language classes to hundreds of participants each year. As well as teaching Irish to adults for the past 14 years in Donegal, Dublin, and the US, his background is in software development, and he helped build a number of popular websites associated with Irish culture, such as www.duchas.ie (the National Folklore Collection of Ireland).
