Poetry in Performance

$125.00

It can be difficult to speak poetry without being too flat and lackluster, or the reverse of imposing the personality of the performer and not staying true to the poet.
There is a middle ground where employing techniques of text analysis and vocal skill creates the perfect environment, honouring both poet and content.
In this class, we will study the richness and skill of the great Celtic Poets: W B Yeats, Robert Burns, and Dylan Thomas. In the final session students will read aloud selections of their choice from the poems discussed.
