Ireland: Prehistory to Present
Foundation Course of Irish History
Expand your knowledge of Irish history with an accessible yet comprehensive survey course. This online class explores the land and people of Ireland across time from 10,000 years BCE to today’s Global Ireland and into the future. We stand at a point in Irish history where hope for a single island nation has been provoked by Brexit looming and the vagaries of British governance. As a Foundation class, this will support further studies in all other aspects of Irish culture, history and language. No previous knowledge of Irish history or culture is necessary.
9 Sessions: Tuesdays 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. January 26-March 23: 1/26; 2/2; 2/9; 2/16; 2/23; 3/2; 3/9; 3/16; 3/23.
