Featuring Scottish fiddle champion Brandon Vance, and with guest Laura MacKenzie. The Beltane Boys are a unique Celtic band from the Pacific Northwest, combining virtuosic solo performances with three-part vocal harmonies and refined ensemble playing.
Brandon Vance is an award-winning violinist who told his parents at age 4 that he wanted to play the Scottish fiddle! Whether playing a slow air or a driving dance tune, his musicality is sure to please.
Cameron St. Louis is an up-and-coming Celtic woodwind specialist who began his studies with the Twin Cities’ own Laura MacKenzie. He is an exponent of the North Connacht flute style, an avid bagpiper, and also an instrument maker.
Richard Hill has been singing traditional Scottish Gaelic song for over thirty years. His love of Gaelic language and poetry is clearly heard in his expressive singing . He is a founder of Slighe nan Gaidheal, a Pacific Northwest Gaelic society.
