Slygo is a three piece Irish band based out of the Twin Cities. This wildly creative group on fiddle, guitar, and bass are kicking off a summer of out of state performances by saying a fond see-ya-later to their Minnesota fans from the CJAC outdoor stage. With Liam Slattery (guitar, bass, vocals), Pete Mulligan (bass, guitar, vocals) and David Ochs (fiddle, vocals, guitar), they bring a warm, energetic sound to the stage and studio. They’ll share some original compositions and freewheeling improvisations with us. You don’t want to miss these upbeat and inventive musicians!

Special opening act will be Twice Banjaxed. Twice Banjaxed is Derek Anderson (banjo) and Morien McBurnie (banjo, guitar). At 17 and 16 years old, they are recognized as the “banjo boys” at various Twin Cities farmers’ markets, brewpubs, and city streets where they are regularly heard busking. They deliver classic trad as well as the contemporary cutting edge.
