His Music. His Ireland. His Legacy. This course will tell the story of the internationally-renowned blues guitarist Rory Gallagher, from his early days growing up in an Ireland that had just discovered rock’n’roll, to attracting the respect and admiration of musical giants like Jimi Hendrix and Brian May. Fellow Corkman Patsy O’Brien tells Rory’s story, places him within his times and culture, and performs many of his songs in this unique portrait of a unique figure in Irish culture.
