From her living room to yours! Presenting Adrienne O’Shea in her first solo concert with special guest Cormac Ó Sé (founder of Celtic Junction Arts Center, musical director of O’Shea Production’s three touring shows, and recording artist for FeisTunes & the Feis App). In the midst of a worldwide pandemic it is, perhaps, appropriate that this young “Zennial” musician makes her solo presence known online, simultaneously on both sides of the Atlantic, performing live from her home and broadcasting on the Celtic Junction Arts Center’s FB page.
Adrienne’s musicality reveals a transcontinental experience, seeped in old-world style but with a young, modern energy. Born in Dublin to a family steeped in Irish culture, and immigrating young to a unique Irish pocket in St. Paul, MN, Adrienne has feverishly sought and soaked up her traditional roots. She has studied Irish music, dance, and language from the age of 4 under the tutelage of Norah Rendell, Cory Froelich, Seán Gavin, Brian Miller, and Dáithí Sproule. She holds multiple titles in flute, whistle, piano, and song from the Midwest Fleadh Cheoil, qualifying in nearly every event for the All Ireland Music Championships eight years running.
Debuting at the age of 9 on stage in Get Up Your Irish, and as a leading band member of Kickin’ It Irish and the Celtic Holiday Hooley, she has performed at Chanhassen Dinner Theaters, Stepping Stone Theater, the Ordway, the O’Shaughnessy and at Orchestra Hall. Adrienne is currently a student of Music at the University of Minnesota and works as an instructor with both the Center for Irish Music and O’Shea Irish Dance.
The artist will be accepting free-will donations during the concert at https://paypal.me/adrienneoshea
