Celtic and Norse Knotwork for Beginners

Learn the ancient lore and symbolism around knotwork as you draw interlacing knots and spirals using grid patterns. Participants will learn several ways to draw interlacing knots based on a grid pattern, as well as basic construction of Triskelle spirals and an introduction to zoomorphic (animal) elements in knotwork.

4 weeks. Wednesdays. 6:30-8:00 p.m. June 3 - 24.

Drawing Celtic Mythology

Selkies, Kelpies, and Castles. Oh My! A creative, socially distanced, online distraction from all of your worries. Explore the haunting and magical tales of the Selkies, Kelpies, and castles of the Celtic realms while enhancing your skills of creative expression and artistic re-interpretation. The principles of formal composition and color theory will be applied to this inspirational mythic and iconic imagery.

3 Sessions Thursdays. 8:00-9:30 p.m. June 25 - July 9.
