Digitization Day, May 19
Have any old photos you’ve thought about adding to the McKiernan Library’s local history digital archive? Interested, but not sure how to go about digitizing photos?
On Sunday, May 19, from 1 to 5 pm at the Celtic Junction (836 Prior Ave. N, St. Paul) we will hold a McKiernan Library “Digitization Day” where anyone can bring in photos, letters or other keepsakes and have them digitized.
We will have four scanners and volunteers available to help convert your (2-D) physical items to digital files. To make sure you get a scanner, sign up for an hour-long time slot here.
This is a free event! We’d love if you let us add digitized items relating to Irish arts, culture and history in Minnesota to our digital archive but you don’t have to contribute the resulting images to our collection to use this free service!
We will handle your precious items with care and you can take them home at the end of the event, along with digital files (please bring a thumb drive or other external usb drive if possible. We can also email files once digitized.)
Any questions? Not sure how to use the online signup? Please email Brian at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
